67 people arrested in the last 24 hours during nationwide operations

Writing.- Members of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM) of the National Police arrested 67 people in operations carried out in different sectors of the country, as a result of actions against armed robbery, carelessness, recovery of firearms and capture of fugitives from justice. In the María Auxiliadora sector, National District, Johan Sebastián Santos Mueses (a) “Boca 30” was arrested, investigated for multiple reports of armed robberies on public roads. The detainee is accused of taking a citizen's cell phone, a wallet with RD$1,500, and personal documents, after threatening her with a gun.

Similarly, in the Villa Francisca sector, Osiris Cuevas Pérez (a) "La Moña", 45 years old, was captured, who was listed as a fugitive with a red notice, requested by the Tribunal of the Third Court of Instruction of the National District since 2022. In the La Paz expansion, Merquin Gregorio Pérez (a) "El Busito" was arrested in the act of committing a crime after stealing a PVC pipe from a residence. While in the Colonial City, Zomer Guzmán Martínez was arrested, accused of theft by carelessness at the betting shop "La Suerte". The detainee admitted to having sold the stolen cell phone to a foreigner. In the Los Guaricanos sector, Santo Domingo Norte, José Luis González, of Haitian nationality, was arrested for possession and sale of controlled substances, seizing marijuana, cocaine, a scale, and cash. Likewise, in Boca Chica, Cleudy Rodríguez (a) “El Boti/Botija”, 25 years old, linked to an arrest warrant, was arrested, and a firearm recovered during an inspection was seized from him. In the province of Peravia, municipality of Baní, Yohansel Modesto Peguero, 32 years old, was arrested after using a toy gun to assault two citizens and steal their cell phones. Similarly, in San José de Ocoa, Linet Sove, a 37-year-old Haitian, wanted by a warrant for homicide, was arrested. Meanwhile, in Neiba, Bahoruco, Wilson Guerrier, a 29-year-old Haitian, was arrested in possession of 9.9 grams of marijuana. Finally, in Imbert, Puerto Plata, José Daniel Martínez Tavárez, 21 years old, was arrested, caught with two minors (16 and 17 years old) after the theft of two motorcycles in the Martín Alonzo section, Luperón municipality, which were recovered by the acting agents.
