This has been determined by the club's medical services after the player performed "intense sports stress tests" this Sunday after completing the conservative treatment he underwent in recent weeks to overcome said ailment. "In order to guarantee the best recovery and return to competitive dynamics, Gavi will undergo an arthroscopic review tomorrow by Dr. Joan Carles Monllau, under the supervision of the club's medical services," reads the statement from the Blaugrana club. Monllau already operated in November 2023 on the Andalusian footballer for a complete rupture of the cruciate ligament and an injury associated with the external meniscus in the same knee, which left him 348 days on the sidelines.

Medial Meniscus Injury

In this instance, Gavi is suffering from an injury to the internal meniscus, which was not affected in the serious injury he suffered with the Spanish national team almost two years ago. The midfielder from Los Palacios y Villafranca suffered from the aforementioned ailment on August 29th in a training session with the first team of the Blaugrana. The club's medical services advised him to undergo conservative treatment first, but they finally opted to perform an arthroscopy after seeing that the discomfort persisted.
