Santo Domingo. - The Centro Cultural del Banco de Reservas inaugurated the exhibition ''Espacio y tiempo'', in homage to the master of Dominican plastic arts Ada Balcácer, which will remain open until Sunday, October five.
The exhibition brings together 32 pictorial works that cover different stages and themes of the artist, including: Bacá, Ensayo de la luz, Anatomía and Abstracción. The pieces belong to the Banco de Reservas and private collections.
The curatorial and museographic assembly of the exhibition was in charge of the researcher, museologist, curator and cultural manager Margarita González Auffant, who conceived it as a journey through the thematic richness and the exquisite techniques that characterize Balcácer's work.
The visiting hours for the public are from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 in the morning to 9:00 at night, and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, from 12:00 noon to 7:00 at night, in the Ada Balcácer Room of the Banreservas Cultural Center, located in the Colonial City.
This initiative reaffirms Banreservas' commitment to the promotion of art and culture, through an exhibition agenda that values national works.
Ada Balcácer is one of the leading representatives of Dominican plastic arts. In 2011 she obtained the National Prize for Plastic Arts and in 2017 the Centro Cultural del Banco de Reservas named its main exhibition hall after her.
