Santo Domingo.- The Civil and Commercial Jurisdiction of Santo Domingo East has seven chambers, including the Court and First Instance chambers. For the week of November 17 to 21, 239 hearings are scheduled.
The morning of Monday, November 17th, saw the beginning of hearings and services of the Civil and Commercial Jurisdiction, which moved its operations to the new headquarters of the Judicial City of Santo Domingo Este, and where 73 hearings were held.
Today, 280 people entered the CJSE headquarters. Of these, 143 were assisted in the Digital Training and Assistance Space, where they requested various services: 70 inquiries or requests for information, 38 training sessions, 16 deposits, 14 user registrations, and 5 requests for use of the self-management space.
The services offered by the CJSDE include the commissioning of the Digital Training and Assistance Space, virtual hearings, a training room, and a self-management area. The training space has personalized attention that allows users to receive appropriate guidance for registration and processing on the digital access platform.
According to the established schedule, the phase incorporating the Labor Jurisdiction will begin on November 28, 2025, thus expanding the service offering to respond to the diversity of cases that arrive at this headquarters.
Subsequently, on December 8, 2025, mediation services will be integrated and the Peace Court of the Second District will be enabled.
Another stage, scheduled for January 19, 2026, will lead to the operational launch of the Criminal Jurisdiction and the interview center, allowing the structure to operate fully in criminal matters.
Finally, on February 13, 2026, comprehensive services for Children and Adolescents will come into effect, both in the Civil and Criminal fields, thus completing the habilitation process of the entire
Judicial City.
