Among the most significant contributions of the minister to the Primada de América is the promotion of the School of Bakery and Pastry, where thousands of breads and desserts are produced daily, in addition to providing practical training to students in various culinary areas. The rector also announced during the event the opening of a university pizzeria and a water processing and purification plant, intended to guarantee supply to the Chemistry laboratories and the Institute of Microbiology and Parasitology.
