Washington .- The United States military attacked another boat this Tuesday, allegedly linked to drug trafficking, in international waters, leaving one person dead and two survivors.
The United States Southern Command reported the attack on X, without specifying whether it occurred in the Caribbean or the Pacific, as it usually does in each of these operations since the campaign began in September 2025.
The armed forces detailed that two of the three crew members of the ship survived, an uncommon occurrence in this type of attack, which has rarely left people alive.
The operation called Lanza del Sur has caused at least 186 deaths in total in more than 60 reported attacks in the Caribbean Sea, near Venezuela or in the Pacific near Colombia.
