Santo Domingo. – With the aim of motivating Dominican children to become interested in areas related to aviation and the aeronautical sector, Arajet held a new edition of its educational program “Pilot for a Day”, this time with the children of the Instituto Ángeles Custodios. During the activity, participants had the opportunity to get a close look at how an airline works and explore the different professions that make a safe and efficient air operation possible, such as pilots, cabin crew, aeronautical technicians, engineers, dispatchers, and operations staff. Through dynamic talks and practical experiences, the children learned about the role each area plays within the industry.

The program allowed the children to live an immersive experience, touring operational spaces and sharing directly with Arajet collaborators, who conveyed to them the importance of education, discipline, and academic preparation to develop professionally in the aeronautical sector. With initiatives like “Pilot for a Day,” Arajet reaffirms its commitment to the training, education, and development of future talent, promoting interest in technical and professional careers related to aviation, and contributing to the construction of a more solid and inclusive aeronautical industry in the Dominican Republic. About Arajet Arajet is the flag carrier airline of the Dominican Republic. Since the beginning of its operations in 2022, it operates two bases — at Las Américas Airport in Santo Domingo and at Punta Cana International Airport — with a modern fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft.
