Fernando Carrillo defends Maduro: "they are accusing him unfairly"

Santo Domingo. - The Venezuelan actor Fernando Carrillo, who for years has openly shown his support for the regime of Nicolás Maduro, publicly defended him after his detention and that of his wife Cilia Flores and the recent accusations against him, generating a strong controversy on social networks and in the media. "They are going to have to prove to the president that he is a drug trafficker, because that is totally false. We'll see what happens; they will have to prove it in court. That accumulation of accusations bothers me because they are false. I am risking my career because I like to be on the side of the weak. The president and his wife are a very beautiful couple and they have been punished since the year 2001," Carrillo expressed during his intervention. The actor also stated that "Venezuela will resurge under the leadership of Delcy Rodríguez", assuring that those who criticize the ruling party today will end up returning to the country. "Venezuela will rise with President Delcy Rodríguez, and you will have to return. You will realize that Venezuela will be a world power", he added.

Fernando Carrillo's statements sparked an intense debate on Telemundo with other public figures who were part of the conversation, including Aleska Génesis, Andy Salandy, Carlos Adyan, and Karina 'La Voz'. It was precisely with the latter that the exchange became more heated, as it is not the first time that Carrillo has staunchly defended the Venezuelan president. For several years, Fernando Carrillo has been a constant defender of Nicolás Maduro's regime, speaking out in his favor on numerous occasions and discrediting the multiple accusations against the president. The actor has described these actions as part of a systematic interest in damaging the image of the leader and his family. Likewise, Carrillo has denounced on previous occasions that the Venezuelan opposition has sabotaged his artistic career for more than two decades, preventing him from growing professionally due to his public support for the late former President Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro. In a video posted on his Instagram account, the actor assured that the opposition never forgave him for having a "revolutionary and honest" father, referring to Nery Carrillo, whom he described as an "upright" man. According to the artist, this situation would have led to attempts to destroy him as a man, father, and public figure. Fernando Carrillo has reiterated on multiple occasions his loyalty to Chavismo, defending the government's policies and expressing his unconditional support for Nicolás Maduro. Despite the harsh criticism he has received for his political stance, the actor remains firm in his convictions and continues to support the ruling party in Venezuela.
