CoSeNaSa holds Ordinary Meeting and swears in Technical Commission

Santo Domingo.– The National Health Insurance Council (CoSeNaSa) held its Ordinary Meeting no. 97, in which the Technical Commission appointed by Decree no. 722-25, by the Minister of Health, Víctor Atallah, was sworn in. During this meeting, which also marked the first session of the year 2026, relevant issues for institutional management were addressed and it was established as a norm to hold regular meetings on a monthly basis, in order to strengthen the processes of supervision, control and risk management, in line with the principles of transparency, efficiency and good governance. In that sense, the Council learned about and analyzed strategic aspects related to the financial and operational performance of the National Health Insurance, as well as the follow-up to the institutional guidelines aimed at guaranteeing the sustainability of the system and the adequate provision of services to the affiliated population. Furthermore, the main challenges and priorities of the new management were presented, emphasizing the need to consolidate internal control mechanisms, strengthen evidence-based decision-making, and ensure compliance with the regulatory framework governing the institution.

The swearing-in of the Technical Commission constitutes a fundamental step for the technical accompaniment and supervision of institutional processes, contributing to a more efficient, transparent management aligned with the State's strategic objectives in health and social protection.


With this meeting, the institution reaffirms its commitment to strengthening institutional governance, accountability, and the continuous improvement of health services, for the benefit of affiliates and the Dominican social security system.

The members of the Technical Commission who were sworn in are Juan Arismendy Díaz, Elizabeth Sánchez Padilla and Pedro Ramírez.
