The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the US dollar for this Thursday, April 16, 2026, as follows:
In banks and other financial institutions, the buying rate of the dollar was RD$58.54, while the selling rate reached RD$61.47.
These figures represent a daily depreciation of the local currency of 0.04% and 0.02% respectively, compared to the levels recorded at the close of the previous day.
For their part, the exchange agents reported a buying rate of RD$59.54 and a selling rate of RD$60.83.
As in the banking sector, a slight daily depreciation of the national currency was perceived (0.15% on purchase and 0.07% on sale).
.In this segment, the Dominican peso also reflects a sustained strengthening so far this year, with an appreciation of 5.60% since the end of 2025 and 1.95% in the last month.
