Mirambeaux led the offense with 23 points, including two key free throws that broke the 99-99 tie with just 33 seconds left to play. From that moment on, the Royals' defense was decisive, unsuccessfully limiting the visiting team's offensive attempts. The closing also featured the contribution of Malachi Richardson, who converted three free throws in the final stretch to maintain the lead and secure the victory in the debut as locals of the vegan team. The Cañeros tried to react in the final seconds, when Lazar Logic scored a three-pointer with five seconds on the clock to bring the score to 105-102, but it was not enough to complete the comeback. In addition to Mirambeaux, Sekou Sylla of the Reales stood out with 21 points, Malachi Richardson with 13, and Keith Williams with 12. For the Cañeros, Rafail Lanaras led with 21 units, followed by Eusebio Suero with 18. The match was characterized by its intensity in the final quarter, where the visitors managed to tie the score on several occasions (94-94, 96-96 and 99-99), after a reaction driven by their defense and better ball circulation. The Royals had dominated the first half, going into halftime with a 59-47 lead. However, the Cañeros responded in the third period, which they won 33-22, to get fully involved in the fight. In the final innings, execution in key moments and defensive solidity allowed the Royals to hold the lead and secure a close victory at home. The LNB Super League day continues this Thursday with the Metros de Santiago facing the Soles del Este, while the Titanes del Sur will receive the Héroes de Moca.
