The Dominican connected his sixth home run of the season, a 442-foot hit to center field in the fourth inning that extended the lead and reaffirmed his impact on the lineup. With that home run, he also raised his offensive production, consolidating himself as one of the team's engines at the start of this campaign.

However, the big figure of the night was the rookie Sal Stewart, who signed the first multi-home run game of his career. The 22-year-old first baseman hit two three-run home runs in the first two innings, finishing the day with six RBIs.

Cincinnati took control early in the game against starting pitcher Tyler Mahle. In the first inning, Stewart punished a fastball to open the scoring with a three-run home run, and shortly after, Eugenio Suárez added another home run to extend the lead. The attack continued in the second inning, when Stewart responded again with another three-run hit, solidifying a lead that the Reds would not lose. From the mound, Rhett Lowder backed the offense with a solid 6.2-inning outing, in which he allowed three runs and controlled the pace of the game. De La Cruz's home run in the fourth inning set the final score and highlighted the combination of young power driving Cincinnati. His production, along with Stewart's offensive explosion, was key to securing a comfortable victory. With this result, the Reds continue to show solidity despite the collective offensive inconsistency so far this season. The ability of figures like De La Cruz and Stewart to make a difference has been decisive in keeping the team in the fight. Cincinnati will look to complete the sweep in the series finale, supported by a young core that continues to respond in key moments.
