Juegos de Semana Santa 2026 cierran exitosa jornada de integración social

Santo Domingo.– Los Juegos Recreativos Semana Santa 2026, organizados por el Ministerio de Deportes, cerraron este domingo tras una exitosa jornada de cuatro días de integración social en 24 puntos de 18 provincias a nivel nacional.

El ministro de Deportes, Kelvin Cruz, resaltó el valor de los juegos como parte de un trabajo preventivo, el cual permitió a los ciudadanos disfrutar con seguridad y en un ambiente sano.

En playas, ríos, balnearios y barrios, las personas se integraron sin importar edad ni género en disciplinas y actividades como baloncesto 3x3, voleibol, fútbol, vitilla, dominó, juego de soga, carreras de sacos, entre otras.

Los juegos fueron coordinados por el personal técnico del Ministerio de Deportes, el cual fue distribuido en los diferentes puntos habilitados para este montaje.

El capacitado personal, bajo la dirección del viceministro técnico de Deportes, Fernando Teruel, incluyó recreólogos, entrenadores y monitores, quienes estuvieron disponibles desde el jueves hasta el domingo para coordinar las actividades y garantizar el buen desarrollo de las jornadas.

Eventos competitivos, como el Festival Deportivo Rubén Toyota, también contaron con el patrocinio del Ministerio de Deportes.

Las sedes del evento

Entre las localidades figuraron Jarabacoa y el complejo deportivo de La Vega; en el Distrito Nacional, La Ciénaga y Capotillo; y en la provincia Santo Domingo, Boca Chica, el Parque del Este y Pedro Brand.

También se desarrollaron actividades en Pedernales (malecón), Barahona (Playa Paraíso), Monte Plata (Playa Comatillo), El Seibo (Miches), San Cristóbal (Najayo) y Moca (Gaspar Hernández).

Asimismo, en San Pedro de Macorís (Juan Dolio), Samaná (Las Terrenas), San Juan de la Maguana (Las Matas de Farfán), Montecristi (Manzanillo y Playa Buen Hombre), La Romana (Playa Caleta), Nagua (Arroyo Salado), La Altagracia (Playa Macao), Independencia (balneario Boca de Cachón) y Puerto Plata (Maimón y Sosúa).
