Santo Domingo.- The story of Dara, a seven-year-old girl diagnosed with cerebral palsy, autism grade three, and other complex health conditions, moved those present and over a million viewers during the Prime Time broadcast of Planeta Alofoke.
Her mother, Tanya, explained that the youngest has spent a large part of her life between hospitalizations, therapies, and medical treatments, which has prevented her from celebrating a birthday like any other child. According to her account, Dara faces frequent seizures and requires specialized medications whose monthly cost is around 10,000 to 12,000 pesos.
During the program, the mother narrated the economic difficulties she is going through to pay for Dara's treatments and those of her other daughter, who has also undergone surgeries for a congenital heart condition. In addition, she revealed that she is currently facing housing problems and requested help to manage specialized medical care for the minor in the United States.
