LIMA, PERU — The Dominican Badminton Team signed an outstanding performance by winning the silver medal at the Pan American Air Badminton Championship, a result that secured their qualification for the next World Championship of the discipline.

The Quisqueyan team showed a high competitive level throughout the tournament, surpassing important rivals from the continent and reaffirming its position as one of the emerging teams in this modality. In the final, played in Lima, the Dominicans fell in a close match against the Brazilian team, current world champion, in a match that showed the growth and competitiveness of the Caribbean team. The silver medal not only represents a significant achievement in the sporting arena, but also marks an important step in the positioning of Dominican badminton internationally. In preparation for the Air Badminton World Championship, the Dominican Republic national team is getting ready to take on a new challenge in the global elite, with the aim of continuing to raise the name of the Dominican Republic and fly its flag high.
