NEW YORK. – Major League Baseball celebrates Jackie Robinson Day on April 15th, commemorating the 79th anniversary of his debut in the Majors, a historic moment that marked the end of racial segregation in baseball.

As part of the MLB Together initiative, all players, coaches, and on-field personnel wear the iconic number 42 in blue, regardless of their team colors, accompanied by commemorative socks and caps, in honor of the legacy of the former Brooklyn Dodgers player.
