As part of the MLB Together initiative, all players, coaches, and on-field personnel wear the iconic number 42 in blue, regardless of their team colors, accompanied by commemorative socks and caps, in honor of the legacy of the former Brooklyn Dodgers player. The league also launched the "We Are Jackie" campaign, a multimedia proposal that includes special content narrated by Hall of Fame member CC Sabathia. The initiative brings together testimonies from current and retired figures, such as Andruw Jones and Michael Harris II, who share the impact of Robinson on their careers and on the evolution of the sport. Throughout the United States, teams develop community, educational, and ceremonial activities to honor their memory. These include donations to youth programs, sports clinics, panels on inclusion, and special events with young athletes. Organizations like the Diamondbacks, Orioles, and Astros make financial contributions and hold meetings with Jackie Robinson Foundation scholars, while teams like the Braves and White Sox involve young people in on-field activities, reinforcing their commitment to the new generations. For their part, franchises like the Dodgers maintain symbolic traditions, including ceremonies in honor of number 42 and meetings with Robinson's family and representatives of the Negro Leagues Museum. In addition, several clubs organize clinics, art contests, and educational programs focused on values such as equality, perseverance, and leadership, principles that defined Robinson's career and life. The day reaffirms the lasting impact of Jackie Robinson not only as an elite baseball player, but also as a key figure in the fight for civil rights, whose legacy continues to inspire on and off the field.
