SAN CRISTÓBAL. – Los Metros de Santiago arrancaron la temporada de la Súper Liga LNB con una sólida victoria 99-63 sobre los Titanes del Sur, en un encuentro disputado en el polideportivo de esta ciudad.

The Santiago team showed total dominance from the second quarter onwards, when they deployed an intense defense and a collective game that made the difference. A 16-0 rally in the final minutes of the first half, followed by another 13-2 run at the start of the third period, finished tilting the match in their favor.
The Metros prevailed in all quarters (20-19, 26-10, 26-16 and 25-18), also standing out for the offensive contribution of the entire squad, with all 12 players scoring at least one point. In the individual aspect, Adris de León led the offense with 16 points, while Anthony Fairley recorded a double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds. Florent Thamba also stood out with 12 points and 15 rebounds, as well as Brahian Méndez and Raimer Santana, who contributed 13 units each. By the Titans, Shawn Williams was the top scorer with 16 points, followed by Savier Reyes, who added 14. The Metros showed greater efficiency on both sides of the court, shooting 55% from the field (36 of 66) and dominating the rebounds 41-28, while the home team barely made 38% of their attempts.After a close first quarter, Santiago's team took control before halftime, reaching it with a 46-29 lead, thanks to their defensive intensity and better offensive execution.
