United Kingdom.- King Charles III commemorated this Tuesday the centenary of the birth of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, with a message full of emotion in which he highlighted her legacy and the deep mark she left on the world.

During his televised address, the British monarch recalled the sovereign's influence on the lives of millions of people, underlining her strong vocation for service and her role as a key figure in contemporary history. He affirmed that his mother always remained constant, dedicated, and committed to her people throughout more than seven decades of reign.

Charles III also invited reflection on the human impact of the Queen, noting that many evoke her not only for historical events, but for simple and close gestures that marked those who had contact with her, even in brief encounters.

The King also highlighted the message of hope that Elizabeth II conveyed, recalling words from her youth in which she encouraged each person to contribute to a better future. According to him, that vision continues to be a source of inspiration in current times. As part of the commemorative activities, the creation of a monument in her honor in St. James's Park was announced, next to Buckingham Palace. The work will include a tall bronze statue representing the queen in her youth, inspired by a portrait made in 1954 by the artist Pietro Annigoni.

The Queen, born on April 21, 1926, and passed away in 2022 at the age of 96, continues to be remembered as one of the most influential figures of the British monarchy, whose legacy remains alive in the collective memory.
