Carlos Alcaraz withdraws from Roland Garros due to discomfort in his right wrist

«After the results of the tests carried out today, we have decided that the most prudent thing is to be cautious and not participate in Rome and Roland Garros, pending to assess the evolution to decide when we will return to the court», he published on his social networks.

The Murcian had already hinted at his participation in the Parisian Grand Slam during his appearance in Madrid at the Laureus Awards this Monday, in which he announced that the following tests would be "crucial" to assess the extent of his injury. The Spanish tennis player felt discomfort in his right wrist during his debut in the Barcelona tournament against Otto Virtanen on April 14. Although he won the match, he withdrew before playing the next round, the round of 16.
