Madrid .- Digital consumption in Spain has skyrocketed, according to data for March which indicate that Spaniards spent three hours and fifteen minutes a day on the internet that month, 10% more than in the same period of 2025.
In total, Spaniards navigated 195 minutes daily, 18 more than in March 2025, according to the report by the consultancy Barlovento, which analyzes, on a monthly basis, digital consumption in Spain based on data collected by GfK DAM, the official digital audience meter.
Furthermore, if the daily consumption figure per internet user is taken into account (i.e., without taking into account residents who do not browse), it has also increased significantly, as it is 226 minutes per day, 19 minutes more than in March 2025, 9% more.
And the fact is that digital consumption in Spain already reaches 86.5% of the population: more than 41 million Spaniards use the internet per month, 2% more than a year ago, and eight out of ten connect to the network every day.
The age groups that spend the most time on digital consumption are young people between 16 and 24 years old (with 251 minutes per inhabitant per day) and those between 25 and 34 years old (with 235 minutes per day).
