Santo Domingo.- Claro Dominicana was awarded in the Speedtest® Awards by Ookla with nine awards corresponding to the third and fourth quarter of 2025, as a result of a rigorous analysis based on millions of daily queries made by users through the leading global platform in speed measurement.
The company achieved key recognitions, including the Fastest Mobile Network in the Caribbean; in addition, it remains for the second consecutive year as the Best Fixed Network and Best Mobile Network in the country simultaneously, being the first in Latin America to achieve this milestone. It also received the awards for Best Mobile Coverage, Fastest Mobile Network in the country (for the fifth consecutive year) and Mobile Gaming Experience, as well as Fastest Fixed Network, Best Valued Fixed Network and Best Fixed Gaming Experience.
Carlos Cueto, president of Claro Dominicana, explained that these results reflect a sustained strategy of investment and technological modernization, guided by a clear purpose of offering experiences that positively impact the lives of Dominicans: “
We will continue to promote the development of our infrastructure and the adoption of new technologies, with the aim of continuing to raise connectivity standards and actively contribute to the digital transformation of the country, as a driver of productive development and economic growth”.
Omar Acosta, Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Claro Dominicana, indicated that each technological update and each capacity deployment they carry out are intended to anticipate the needs of Dominicans. This translates into concrete benefits such as faster browsing, greater stability in video calls, uninterrupted streaming, and an online video game experience with lower latency, that is, a reduction in the response time between the user's action and the server's reaction, in an environment where connectivity is essential for daily life.
Meanwhile, Juan Pablo Romero, Vice President of Engineering and Operations of Claro Dominicana's Network, stated that these recognitions reflect not only the operational consistency of the network, but also the tireless commitment of the entire team to maintain the highest quality standards, with a world-class infrastructure based on cutting-edge technology and constant innovation, such as the fourth-generation network (XSGPON) of Fiber Optics and the deployment of the 5G Network in the 31 provinces of the country.

In the fixed segment, the company obtained Best Fixed Network and Fastest Fixed Network with scores of 68.16 and 50.39, respectively, highlighting high performance in speed and connection stability. To calculate the Connectivity Index, Speedtest combines various network metrics under real conditions, such as download and upload speed, latency, and quality of experience in daily activities like web browsing and video streaming, which offers a comprehensive evaluation of the performance perceived by users.
Additionally, Claro Dominicana obtained Best Valued Fixed Network, with a score of 4.0, and Best Fixed Gaming Experience, with a score of 83.1, which highlights the quality and consistency of the service. These recognitions are based on Ookla®'s methodology, based on millions of real tests performed by users through the Speedtest® platform and complemented with experience evaluation tools (Consumer QoE™) and advanced metrics such as the Game Score™, which measures parameters such as latency and jitter to evaluate performance in demanding digital environments.
