Jake Hall, known for his participation in the popular reality TV show The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), was found dead in the early hours of Wednesday, May 6, in a rental villa in Santa Margalida, a town located in the north of Mallorca, Spain. He was 35 years old.
According to The Sun, Civil Guard agents were called to the property around 7:30 in the morning and found the young man in a pool of blood with fatal head injuries. The main hypothesis being handled by investigators points to a tragic accident: Hall would have hit his head against a glass door during a party that lasted until the early hours of the day. "Witnesses have told investigators that he had been partying all night and decided to continue the revelry at the place he had rented," said a source consulted by the tabloid. "Apparently, according to what they told the police, he got agitated —possibly due to alcohol and other substances he may have consumed, something that the autopsy will determine— and at one point became aggressive and tried to harm himself by hitting his head against things."Also, a neighbor of the place declared to the local newspaper Ultima Hora that he was awakened by a deafening noise hours before the police arrived: “I started to hear a very loud noise, as if they were drilling something. I felt the walls vibrate. They stopped after about five minutes and then I fell asleep.

No arrests have been made so far. An autopsy is scheduled in Palma, the capital of Mallorca. "We are focusing on the theory that the victim died in a tragic accident after hitting their head against the glass door, but it's still too early to say for sure," a police source told the same media outlet.
The British government confirmed its knowledge of the case. "We are supporting the family of a British citizen who has died in Spain and are in contact with local authorities," said a Foreign Office spokesperson.
Who was Jake Hall
Jake Hall rose to fame in 2015 when he joined the cast of TOWIE, the hit ITV reality show where the audience followed for years his romantic relationship with fellow participant Chloe Lewis. He remained on the show until 2024, when he decided to leave to focus on his personal projects. Beyond the screen, Hall tried to forge a career in fashion with his menswear brand, Prevu. This venture went into liquidation, a blow that devastated him. Without giving up, he relaunched his bet with a new firm called By Jake Hall. The Brit maintained an intermittent relationship with Misse Beqiri, mother of his daughter River.(Instagram) In his latest public appearances, he was seen as active, creative, and with ongoing projects: just last year he was caught sharing an evening with rapper Kanye West and his wife Bianca Censori after the Grammy ceremony. In December of that year, Hall received a 28-day restraining order, although he was neither arrested nor charged with any crime. His history also includes a dramatic episode that occurred a decade ago: according to The Standard, Hall was stabbed during a night of revelry at the Aqwa Mist club in Puerto Banús, in southern Spain. He was 24 years old and was taken to the hospital by his friends, where it was determined that the wound affected his right kidney. "Thank you all for your incredible support. I am getting better thanks to everyone. You can't get rid of me so easily," he wrote on his social media at the time.
