Santo Domingo.- Santo Domingo.- The political leader for the Dominican Liberation Party, Ramón Pepín, expressed his satisfaction and respect for the decision issued by the Fourth Instruction Court of the National District that grants a dismissal in favor of Gonzalo Castillo in the Calamar case.
The engineer considered that the ruling reaffirms the importance of due process and that the accusations are supported by sufficient evidence.
Pepín stated that the decision helps to clear up the questions that weighed for years on the figure of former Minister of Public Works Gonzalo Castillo, allowing citizens to assess his career and contributions to the country objectively.

Likewise, it was pointed out that the ruling strengthens Castillo's right to fully participate in national democratic life and to develop any future project or aspiration he decides to undertake, always within the institutional framework and with respect for the laws.Finally, he reiterated his confidence in democratic institutions and the Dominican justice system, highlighting the importance of guaranteeing transparent processes and adherence to the law for all citizens."Strengthening the rule of law requires that judicial decisions be respected and that the presumption of innocence prevail until there is evidence to support any accusation," Pepín expressed.
