Dajabón, R.D. – The Dominican Republic Army (ERD) arrested two men who were found with about thirty pounds of a plant presumably marijuana, in an operation carried out in the province of Dajabón.
The detainees are Danny Polanco Sosa and another man identified as Luis José Almonte, who did not have documents at the time of his arrest. Both were traveling on a Tauro brand motorcycle, red in color, when they were intercepted by the acting soldiers.

During the search, they were seized a yellow bag containing three (03) bales wrapped with adhesive tape, with a green vegetable, presumably marijuana, weighing approximately ten (10) pounds each. The intervention was carried out by members of the ERD stationed at the El Rodeo military post, in the Rodeo Adentro sector in the aforementioned province. The detainees, along with the seized substance and the retained motorcycle, were transferred to the headquarters of the 10th Infantry Battalion of the ERD, where they will be placed at the disposal of the competent authorities for the corresponding legal purposes.
