Santo Domingo.- The president of the Economic and Social Council (CES), Rafael Toribio, clarified today that the final report on the Haitian crisis does not contain suggestions regarding the regularization of foreign labor, as has been erroneously disseminated in the media and social networks.
After delivering the document to former President Danilo Medina, Toribio stated that "the issue of regularization is not within the agreements signed in that document." "Everything that is dealt with has to be within the observance of the law," added Toribio. Yesterday, the CES delivered the Consolidated Final Report to President Luis Abinader and continued its process of socialization and consultation with the delivery to former President Medina. The calendar also establishes that this Thursday, September 11th at 4:00 p.m. will be delivered to former President Hipólito Mejía; and on Tuesday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. to former President Leonel Fernández.
