Driver with group of undocumented immigrants crashes into a cabin while trying to escape from the Army

San Juan de la Maguana. – The driver of a car with undocumented Haitian nationals crashed into a cabin while trying to escape from members of the Dominican Republic Army in the Yabonico community of San Juan de la Maguana. An ERD patrol was following the vehicle, a Honda Civic, gray in color, license plate A478823, in which 02 Haitian nationals were in an irregular migratory condition, when the driver tried to evade the soldiers. In an attempt to flee upon noticing the military presence, the driver turned to enter a cabin located in that town, Las Matas de Farfán, impacting with it, with all passengers remaining unharmed during the accident.

The driver, identified as Derlin Antonio Deyerol Pereyra Rosario, was arrested and will be sent before the Public Ministry, while the other person accompanying him managed to escape. Undocumented foreigners, a man and a woman, were taken to the General Pedro Florentino Fortress of the ERD, for due legal process.
