Santo Domingo. – After almost two years of suspension, initiated in July 2024, air connectivity between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela is re-established. The Civil Aviation Board approved the reactivation of passenger, cargo, and mail transport operations, within the framework of the agreement reached between both Governments.
The resumption of services was approved in the extraordinary session of the JAC, held on February 2nd, through Resolution 24-26.

It is worth mentioning that these operations were suspended since July 29, 2024, after the Government of Venezuela ordered the suspension of commercial flights to and from the Dominican Republic. Currently, the foreign airlines flying under the agreement between both countries are: Rutas Aéreas de Venezuela (RAV, S.A.); Rutas Aéreas, C.A. (RUTACA); Líneas Aéreas de Servicio Ejecutivo Regional, C.A. (LASER); Turpial Airlines, C.A. and Avior Airlines C.A. While, among the national airlines that offer routes to Venezuela are Red Air S.A. and Sky High Aviation Dominicana S.A. The JAC reiterates its support for the decisions of the Executive Branch for the reopening of the skies between the Dominican Republic and Venezuela, guaranteeing an orderly and safe reactivation in accordance with the agreements reached between both States.
