Santo Domingo.- The National Police reported this Thursday the arrest of nine people involved in a machete fight in the Isabelita sector, in Santo Domingo Este, captured on video and spread through social media.
In a statement, the Police indicated that the events do not correspond to a confrontation between gangs, but to a social conflict between those involved.

In the operation, Yonathan Youse Florián 'El Yai', Yojancer Presional 'Conpota', Mervin Báez Díaz 'Yeral', Grabier Monte Quezada 'Pollito', Even Miguel Almonte Castillo, Elías Alberto Sala, Germán Adrián, Yeison de la Cruz and Lenny Loraine Garbe Figuereo were arrested. The agents seized four machete-type bladed weapons from the arrested individuals, similar to those used during the fight, the note added. The detainees will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
