Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Republic Meteorology Institute (Indomet), reports that during the morning hours of this Saturday, some isolated showers will occur towards the coasts, however, in the rest of the country it will remain with isolated to scattered cloudiness.

In the afternoon, despite the approach of an upper-level trough, only local showers, possible thunderstorms, and wind gusts are expected towards Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, San Juan, Elías Piña, among other nearby provinces, as a result of the interaction of the wind with the orography and daytime heating.

At the end of the afternoon, isolated showers are forecast towards sectors of Santo Domingo, mainly towards the north.

For Sunday, a large part of the Dominican territory will have a sky with little cloudiness at the beginning of the day, except for clouds transported by the east wind, especially towards La Altagracia, El Seibo, San Pedro de Macorís, Samaná and María Trinidad Sánchez, where scattered showers are expected. In the afternoon, the rainy activity will concentrate towards Monte Plata, Sánchez Ramírez, Monseñor Nouel, La Vega, Santiago, San Juan and Elías Piña, as locally moderate downpours with possible thunderstorms and wind gusts, due to local effects and the slight incidence of a trough.
