Santo Domingo.- The 'Rubby Pérez Infinito' gala will pay tribute on July 11 at the National Theater to the popular merengue singer, as well as to the rest of those who died in the tragedy that occurred at the Jet Set nightclub last April, as announced this Friday.
In the event - organized by the singer's brothers, with artistic production by Aidita Selman and executive production by Eliezer Pérez, the merengue singer's brother - prominent national and international artists will participate.
Furthermore, Aidita Selman detailed in a statement that at the gala there will be a 36-musician orchestra, which will perform the greatest hits of the popular singer, known as "the highest voice of merengue".

Maestro Manuel Tejada will be in charge of the musical direction of the event, which will review Rubby Pérez's 50-year musical career, with songs like 'Volveré', 'Enamorado de ella', 'Dame veneno', 'Hazme olvidarla' and 'Buscando tus besos'.Rubby Pérez passed away last April 8th when the roof of the Jet Set nightclub collapsed while he was performing before hundreds of people.
Regarding the event, which caused 234 deaths and more than 180 injuries, a preliminary report of the investigations is expected to be released this month, as announced at the end of May by the general director of the National Office for Seismic Evaluation and Infrastructure and Building Vulnerability (Onesvie), Leonardo Reyes Madera.
Family members of victims have so far filed dozens of lawsuits against the owners of the nightclub.
