Santo Domingo.– A 27-year-old woman died while undergoing an aesthetic procedure in a clinic in the capital, in an event that occurred last Wednesday, April 15, and that has generated questions about the subsequent handling of the case.
The victim was identified as Anyeli Meliza Sánchez Castillo, who, according to information provided by lawyer Andrés Toribio, lost her life during the surgical intervention.
According to the complaint, after the death occurred, the doctor in charge, José Desena, would have ordered the transfer of the body to another health center. There, according to the report, it was confirmed that the young woman showed no vital signs.
Subsequently, the body would have been placed in an ambulance and taken to a funeral home, while the family members were notified hours later about the location of the body.
