Army intercepts three vehicles with 34 undocumented immigrants in Mao-Valverde

Valverde.- Three vehicles were intercepted by the Army of the Dominican Republic in which 34 Haitian nationals were detained in an irregular migratory condition in the municipality of Mao, Valverde province. The operation was carried out on Desiderio Arias street, by members of the 4th Infantry Brigade of the ERD.

During the intervention, the vehicles were stopped: a Kia K5, mamey color, license plate A809561, driven by Jeffry Narciso Rosario Hilario, which was transporting 11 undocumented individuals; the second corresponds to a Kia K5, mamey color, license plate AA74605, driven by Víctor Manuel Rodríguez, who was carrying 12 undocumented individuals; and the third, a Hyundai Sonata, white color, license plate A977368, driven by Juan Carlos García, who was transporting 11 undocumented individuals. In total, 35 Haitian nationals were intercepted, of whom 14 are men, 13 are women, and 7 are minors. The detained drivers, the undocumented individuals, and the vehicles were transferred to the headquarters of the 4th Infantry Brigade, ERD in Mao, for the corresponding legal purposes.
