Last week, Israel returned to Gaza the last 15 bodies it had been holding since the beginning of the Israeli offensive launched in October 2023, as agreed in the truce in exchange for the body of the last Israeli hostage remaining in the Strip, found by the Army on January 26th. In total, Israel, within the framework of the ceasefire agreement, has returned 360 bodies of Palestinians to the enclave, many of whom arrived with signs of torture at Gaza hospitals, as reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. In addition, beyond those 360 bodies that Israel has held since October 2023, it has had in its possession for much longer at least another 700 Palestinian corpses, including 77 minors, as recently denounced by the National Campaign for the Recovery of the Bodies of Martyrs and the Clarification of the Fate of the Missing.
