Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared that the Hebrew country will "finish the job" if Hamas does not accept the U.S. plan to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip.
"If Hamas rejects his plan, Mr. President, or if they supposedly accept it and then do everything possible to thwart it, then Israel will finish the job on its own," Netanyahu said during a joint press conference with Donald Trump.

Previously, this Monday, the White House published Trump's plan to end the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The document consists of 20 points and proposes an "immediate end to the war if both parties accept it".
The proposal contemplates the withdrawal of Israeli troops and the freezing of hostilities in exchange for the release of the hostages. A period of 72 hours is established for their release once Israel accepts the proposed agreement. For its part, Tel Aviv must release 250 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment, in addition to 1,700 Gazans who were arrested after October 7, 2023. In turn, Hamas and other groups must agree not to participate in the administration of the enclave, either directly or indirectly. For members of Hamas who agree to lay down their arms, an amnesty is planned. The US leader's document stipulates that Gaza will be administered by a "temporary transitional government made up of a technocratic and apolitical Palestinian committee".
