SANTO DOMINGO.- Despite Junior Lake reaching a historic milestone in his career this Sunday by connecting his number 500 hit in LIDOM regular season, the Leones del Escogido fell 4-1 to the Águilas Cibaeñas at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium.
After the match, the Lions put their mark at 11-15, while the Eagles continue to lead with 20-4. El Escogido will have a rest this Monday and will return to action on Tuesday at 7:15 PM, receiving the Toros del Este at the Quisqueya.

The veteran player became only the 21st in league history to achieve this mark, adding a new chapter to his solid career in Dominican baseball.
