SANTO DOMINGO.– The deputy Charlie Mariotti Jr. publicly congratulated the newspaper De Último Minuto on its fourth anniversary and for the announcement of the launch of its new English edition, highlighting the importance of Dominican media beginning to tell the national story from its own voice for international audiences.
“I extend this congratulations to the newspaper De Último Minuto which has announced, along with its fourth anniversary, that it will also launch an English edition. The legislator considered that it is time for Dominicans to take on the role of narrating their reality to the world: “It's time for us to tell our story,” he affirmed. Likewise, he called on the other national media outlets to join this multilingual initiative. “We extend the invitation to all other national newspapers to also start their publications in English, so that we Dominicans can tell the world what is happening in the Dominican Republic,” he added.
