RIU Hotels & Resorts recognizes its main local agencies in DR

Punta Cana. - The hotel chain RIU Hotels & Resorts held a new edition of its traditional Local Agencies Awards, an event that took place on December 14th in the recently renovated Riu Palace Bávaro. The activity brought together more than 60 attendees, including representatives from travel agencies, business partners, and media, and aimed to recognize those agencies that recorded the highest sales volume during the year 2025, an initiative that RIU has been developing continuously for several years as part of its strategy to strengthen relationships with the local market. In this edition, Opera Hotel agencies were awarded first place; Palo Tours with second place and Gniall with third place. Likewise, special recognitions were made for the agencies Grupo González, Smart Travelling and Check In RD. The ceremony included a gala dinner with good music, marking the end of a weekend of conviviality and shared experiences among the guests. As part of the previous activities, the representatives of the agencies enjoyed a VIP area at the Neon Party, one of the four themed parties, included weekly within the All Inclusive concept of the chain. The program also included a catamaran excursion to La Piscina Natural, an emblematic area of the Bávaro coastline, offering attendees a comprehensive tourist experience.

All guests stayed at the Riu Palace Bavaro, a hotel that reopened its doors in August 2024 after a complete renovation, incorporating significant new features in service and product, such as the implementation of the Elite Club, the creation of an exclusive area for families and groups of friends, and a modern food court with a varied gastronomic offer, which complements the wide selection of restaurants in the establishment.
