Bahoruco.- The animal protection brigade of Bahoruco mobilized to the municipality of Galván after receiving a report about the detention of several animals that had entered an agricultural property, causing damage.
The officers present, including Colonel Rodríguez, Sergeant Encarnación, and Private Daniel Silfa, collaborated with Silvia Lilian Morillo, director of the animal protection brigade, who called on pet owners to take preventive measures. Morillo urged owners to keep their animals tied up or, failing that, to adequately secure the pastures, as severe sanctions will be implemented, including fines, depending on the damage caused by the animals. This action is carried out in compliance with Law 248-12 on animal protection, which is designed to regulate the responsible ownership of animals and protect both living beings and the property of citizens. The National Police supports these actions, reaffirming its commitment to animal protection and public safety.
