Buenos Aires.- The candidate for national deputy for the Radical Civic Union (UCR), Hernán Damiani (66), died this Wednesday after suffering a heart attack during a political debate he was holding in a streaming in Misiones.
Damiani, a lawyer and historical radical militant, was urgently transferred to the Madariaga hospital in Posadas, where his death was confirmed.
The radical candidate's decompensation occurred live, once the broadcast of the program Dólar Blue, which is broadcast on La Casa del Streaming, where Damiani was one of the guests along with Rosario Villalba (Frente Renovador Neo), Virginia Villanueva (Partido Obrero) and Aida Vaztique (Partido por la Vida y los Valores), began.
The news caused shock in Misiones politics, where Damiani was a figure recognized for his career within the UCR and his participation in the campaign leading up to the October 26 elections.

Damiani was active in the eighties in Franja Morada and was a protagonist of Misiones politics for more than four decades. He was a deputy for the UCR between 1991 and 1995, and again from 1997 until the end of 2001, when he took his seat in the National Congress."With great astonishment and deep sadness, I receive the unexpected news of the death of Hernán Damiani.
