Santiago. - At least three teenagers died and five others were seriously injured in a traffic accident that occurred early this Saturday morning on Hispanoamericana Avenue in Santiago, an event that has caused great consternation among family members and community members.
One of the deceased was identified as Diego Armando Rodríguez, 17 years old, identified as the person driving the white Mitsubishi Sport SUV, license plate L334781, which ended up destroyed after hitting an electrical pole.
The identities of the other fatalities and injured have not yet been confirmed by the authorities.
Preliminary versions suggest that the vehicle was driven at high speed, which would have caused the driver to lose control and end up crashing into the structure.
