Santo Domingo. – The judge of the First Instruction Court of the National District, in charge of the so-called Jet Set case, accepted a Request for Resolution of Petitions presented by lawyers Janser Elías Martínez, Rafael Antonio Lara and Máximo A. Peña, through which the immobilization of accounts and assets belonging to the citizen Maribel Espaillat De Veras was ordered.
The judicial decision orders the freezing of financial products, securities, and company shares, as well as the opposition to the transfer of real estate, motor vehicles, and company shares in the name of the aforementioned citizen.
Furthermore, the court ordered that the measure be notified to the Superintendency of Banks of the Dominican Republic, the Superintendency of the Securities Market, the Institute for Cooperative Development and Credit (IDECOOP), the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII), and the corresponding Chambers of Commerce and Production, with the aim of them submitting a detailed report on financial products, movable and immovable property, corporate actions, and transactions carried out.
The report must include the movements and transfers made since April 8, 2025, as part of the investigation process being followed within the framework of the Jet Set case.
