Aitor Ruibal: "The coach told me to do my job and that's what I've done"

Aitor Ruibal, Real Betis footballer, showed his satisfaction with his team's thrashing of Getafe (4-0) and the two goals he scored in that match of the Spanish First Division football; and stated that "the coach", Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, who lined him up in attack on Sunday, told him to do his job and that "that" is what he has "done".

"Upstairs is where I've played all my life. I'm used to it," the Betis midfielder told DAZN, who stated he was "very happy" with his match and to be where he wants, with whom he wants, and at the club he loves most. From his wishes for 2026, he pointed out that "I improve a little more."

"I don't know what more to ask for, I am happy at the club I love the most. Hopefully I will be here many more years," Ruibal stated. Regarding the ovation upon being substituted, he said he was "grateful, whether there's an ovation or not," because "the fans deserve it."
