Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies relaunched its breastfeeding room this Tuesday, reaffirming its commitment to the well-being of the women of the institution who are currently in this period and with the future mothers belonging to the legislative body.
The event took place under the keynote conference "A national commitment to build a country and invest in the future", led by specialist Karina Vargas from the National Institute for Comprehensive Care for Early Childhood (INAIPI), who highlighted the physical, emotional, and economic benefits of breastfeeding for both the child and the mother.
The Vice President of the Chamber, Dharuelly D' Aza, promoter of the project, recalled that investing in breastfeeding is investing in health, education, and the future.
“As a mother and a doctor, I have seen how exclusive breastfeeding improves the development of children. It is an act of love that should be promoted in all institutions,” said the legislator.
