Santo Domingo. – The Emergency Operations Center (COE) presented the First Bulletin of the Christmas Operation “Conscience for Life 2025”, corresponding to the second phase, developed from 2:00 p.m. on December 30th to 6:00 a.m. on December 31st, in which 31 traffic accidents and one death were reported, outside the road safety device, by motorcycle.
According to the report, 23 of the accidents involved motorcycles, three light vehicles, four pedestrian accidents, and one truck. In addition, 24 people were treated for alcohol intoxication, of whom five were minors between 14 and 17 years old.
The COE reported that during the operation, 5,124 roadside assistance services were provided to the public and 235 medical assistance services, while 193 people received primary care in the hospitals of the public health network.

Regarding the alert level, the agency raised the alert to yellow for Gran Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional, San Cristóbal and San Pedro de Macorís, while the provinces of La Romana, La Altagracia, Samaná, María Trinidad Sánchez and Duarte remain on green alert, due to weather conditions and high mobility due to the festivities.
Through the Military and Police Commission, 544 roadside assistance services were provided, including rescues, tire changes, fuel supply, and mechanical assistance.
While Civil Defense provided 12 health assists, installed field hospitals, and carried out preventive road safety actions.
The COE reiterated its call to the population to respect traffic regulations, avoid excessive alcohol consumption and drive responsibly, with the aim of reducing accidents and preserving lives during the end-of-year festivities.
