La Romana.– Members of the Eastern Regional Investigation Sub-Directorate (DICRIM) reported the capture of a well-known Haitian national criminal accused of committing more than eight home robberies, including one in a church, where he was captured by surveillance cameras.
This is Elison Pie, also known as Alejandro Román Encarnación, 40 years old, who confessed his participation in the events he is accused of.

According to investigations, Elison Pie is said to have entered the Sacred Heart of Jesus church, located on Gastón F. Deligne street, La Aviación sector, from where he stole a gas tank, an industrial stove, eight chairs, a plaster shelf, several candles and other objects from the cafeteria area.
The detainee was identified thanks to the images captured by security cameras. In addition, he faces more than eight complaints for robberies in inhabited residences.
The accused will be placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor's Office for the corresponding legal purposes.
