Dominican man injured after knife attack in Spain

Spain. – A Dominican lawyer, originally from the province of Azua, was seriously injured after being the victim of a knife attack on the night of last Friday in the Madrid district of Villaverde. The injured person was identified as Blas Feliz, 61 years old, a legal professional, who received six stab wounds: two in the chest and four in the abdomen, the latter being more serious, according to information provided by Emergencias Madrid to the agency Europa Press. The incident occurred after 10:30 p.m., at number 15 Domingo Párraga Street. Agents from the Madrid Municipal Police arrived at the scene initially, performing the first emergency interventions, plugging the wounds to stop the bleeding.

Subsequently, a mobile unit from Samur-Protección Civil provided specialized medical attention and transferred the lawyer to the 12 de Octubre University Hospital, where he remains admitted in serious condition. So far, Spanish authorities have not offered details on the circumstances in which the assault occurred, nor on any arrests, while the case remains under investigation.
