Santiago.- One month after the death of Angélica Geraldine Hernández, which occurred after undergoing a procedure at an aesthetic center, her family held a candle lighting ceremony this Monday in front of the Diosa clinic, in the Los Jardines Metropolitanos sector, to demand justice and answers from the authorities.
During the demonstration, relatives demanded the arrest of doctors Óscar Polanco, Eriberto Liranzo and Cindy Jiménez, as well as Cary Peña, who allegedly recruited patients for the establishment.
María Rodríguez, mother of the deceased young woman, demanded that those responsible face charges for her daughter's death and warned about the risk of these events repeating themselves if action is not taken firmly.

Family members reported that, despite the death occurring on March 26th, they still haven't received clear information from the National Police or the Public Ministry regarding the progress of the investigations. Following the event, the Ministry of Public Health closed the aesthetic center where the procedure was performed. However, Hernandez's relatives maintain that the closure of the establishment does not replace the need for criminal sanctions against those responsible. The case has raised concerns in the community about the controls and supervision of aesthetic centers in the country.
