Each ambulance will have a team of 12 people to guarantee complete shifts and continuous coverage."Pedernales now has ambulances, fire trucks, vans and highly trained personnel to provide timely assistance, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. A comprehensive effort for security and tourism
The 911 System coordinates the response of institutions such as the National Police, the DAEH, the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC), the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (DIGESETT) and the fire departments, in addition to 25 other liaison organizations. This institutional framework not only seeks to guarantee the safety and health of the local population, but also to provide confidence to the developing tourism sector in the Southern region, strengthening the image of Pedernales as a safe destination.
