Azua, R.D. – The provincial governor, María Minerva Navarro, led a supervisory tour in the community of Villarpando, where she assessed the damage caused by the recent rains that have generated floods in the area.
During the inspection, the representative of the Executive Branch verified the damages to homes and road sections, many of which show significant deterioration, hindering the access and mobility of residents.
Navarro explained that the survey carried out will allow coordinating actions with the corresponding institutions, in order to channel assistance to the affected families and execute intervention measures in the most vulnerable areas.
Meanwhile, brigades and response agencies continue to be deployed in the area, carrying out damage assessment and mitigation work.
