Santo Domingo.-The president of the Fuerza del Pueblo and former president, Leonel Fernández, criticized this Saturday the management of the Government headed by the Modern Revolutionary Party, pointing out that the lack of planning is directly affecting the population.
Through a video posted on his social media, the political leader used a comparison to illustrate his position: he explained that, although improvisation may have a place in areas such as music, in public administration it generates negative consequences. Fernández maintained that one of the most visible effects is the increase in the cost of living, indicating that wages do not advance at the same rate as prices, which reduces the purchasing power of Dominican families. He also stated that the absence of a clear strategy has caused uncertainty in different sectors of the country, insisting that the conduct of the State must be based on planning, coordination, and well-defined objectives. In that context, he compared the government to an orchestra that needs direction to function correctly, warning that without firm leadership "everyone ends up playing on their own." The former head of state considered that the country can still move towards a more stable scenario, but stressed that this will depend on the authorities adopting coherent policies that strengthen the economy and improve the quality of life of citizens.
